Easter 2009

We had a very good Easter this year...it seemed very mellow and laid back (even with all the kids and people) and just was nice to let the kids play and enjoy all the candy and boy did they enjoy the candy!!! Here is a recap of our Easter...


Easter Part I:
We went to church in the morning, it was very nice and I'm glad we went, we fell of the wagon there for awhile but we are back on and starting to go every Sunday again. After church we went and picked up Mal & Mo (they didn't go with us) and headed to Nana & Papa's house for Easter with Jeff's family. It wasn't as big of a bunch this year but was still nice to get together with everyone and be able to talk and let the kids play. Had a very yummy lunch (Mike & Cindy, I really think we should pot-luck it for Sunday Lunches too - it seemed to go so smoothly). But anyway, even though it had rained ALL morning the ground wasn't TO muddy and we did the Easter egg hunt out back. Hailey was NOT into it - not sure why, but she just went around and picked up an egg to get the candy but didn't care to put it in her basket which was really shocking to me... Caitlin on the other hand, she was totally into it and went right along picking up eggs and eating the candy out of them but she also would pick them up and put them in her basket too! It was all in all a great day -- thank you for hosting Nana & Papa!

EASTER Part II:

I ran the big girls home around 3:30 - Shawna wasn't feeling well and once I got back, we headed to my Mom's house around 5 for Easter at her house. Thankfully the girls fell asleep in the car on the way and we were able to kill a little time in the car to let them sleep. Shockingly enough, we beat my brother there - that never happens, haha... but it was nice to hang around, eat Mom's yummy finger foods and ham and the kids did the egg hung out back... they had a lot of fun and Hailey really got into it this time around. She had a FULL basket of eggs and had a lot of fun sorting through them when we came inside. Caitlin had a full basket as well this time around and enjoyed eating the candy along the way! Thanks Mom & Dad for hosting!!

EASTER Part III:
Not much when we got home, since we were in such a rush to get out the door in the AM - the Easter Bunny made a late stop at our house. The girls baskets were waiting for them on our coffee table when we came home from a long fun day! They dug in but of course only got a piece or two of candy and it was off to bed! They crashed fast that night!!
