Stacy Update

The past few days... they took her IV out, let her change into her OWN night gown, are giving her antibiotics three times a day and monitoring the baby & her contractions twice a day (morning and evening) for 30 mins.

I went up and stayed the night with her on Thurs evening and when I got there she had JUST gotten a shot to stop contractions... they were coming every 6-8 mins, baby looked great though still. Seems like she gets the contractions the most in the evening.

She saw Dr. Bergstrom on Friday and she told her that there is a possibility they could send her home since she is doing good (contractions) and the baby looks good on the monitor and allowed her to put on "clothes" so she can be comfy now in a pair of shorts and shirt. Dr. B told her she'd talk to Dr. Peppler (her doc) and let her know her thoughts but it is up to her if she can go home.

Dr. Peppler is on call this weekend, saw her this AM and she told her that she'll be in the hospital till they do another sonogram next week (most likely Wed) but it could be sooner and after she gets the reports from that, she'll look over her file again and make a decision. She did tell her that is NOT a guarantee, but I think she says that to cover her butt incase something else comes up.

Sooooo hopefully the sono will show Alex is covered with fluid still, Stacy won't have many contractions and will not be leaking as much (she hasn't been much but is still though) and they'll let her go home next week. Cross your fingers for her and please continue to pray that she is able to keep Alex in her tummy for as long as she can!! And that God allows her to have the strength to stain sain, she is going crazy up there! LOL!
